As a member of BrandBacker, I've gotten to try some great products. I have to say that I've especially enjoyed the opportunity to work with Valentia (http://valentia.com)! Michelle was even kind enough to give my readers a 20% discount. Just use the code "CONNIE20". But hurry, it expires on 4/17.
This time around, I got to try the Royal Rose Hydrating Serum (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AHVGZNM). This product is designed for those with sensitive skin. It boasts many benefits, including: Deeply moisturizing skin, providing antioxidant protection, soothing/nourishing the skin, smoothing tone and texture. Obviously, the results will be more obvious over time.
As always, I allergy tested (even though it IS made for sensitive skin, I always do this). Then used it for the last 5 days. I opted to stop all other products during this time (even though it suggests applying moisturizer and/or eye product after). I wanted to get a feel for what it did on it's own.
As always, the first thing I noticed was the scent. You can definitely smell the roses. Perhaps it's just me (I AM pretty sensitive to scents), but I also detected an odor similar to fermenting fruit (an aroma that I do not find at all unpleasant). It was strongly enough scented to notice, but not so much as to overwhelm.
The serum is very lightweight. It absorbs quickly, and doesn't leave the skin feeling greasy. Two pumps (a small amount, honestly) completely covered my face and neck.
During the trial, I noticed that my skin felt smoother. Even when I didn't exfoliate! My face also felt moisturized, though less than what a moisturizing lotion would do. During this time, I noticed that the few pimples I'd had cleared up, and no new ones formed. And the redness I often get during the cooler months was lightened.
In all, I noticed improvement in my skin's tone, texture, and moisture levels. Nothing miraculous. But enough that I would recommend this serum. I really believe that (used over time and with a moisturizer), it will dramatically improve skin.
Again, don't forget that you can get 20% off Valentia products. The code is "CONNIE20". Enjoy!
